Everything Is Going Down, But The Word Of God……Sunday afternoon my phone started ringing off the hook, text messages, Facebookin-boxes, and e-mails poured in from Saints all over the country. Everyone wanting to be the first to tell me that Pastor Kimberly Ray had gotten engaged to be married. However, no one knew the gentleman that was brave enough to ask the Woman of God for her hand in marriage. Just a little digging and I was able to find out that the 46 year-old bride to be was asked for her hand in marriage by a brother named Victor Gavin. According to his Facebook page he is a Deputy Sheriff for Cook County Sheriff’S Department and studied Corrections at Roosevelt University and currently lives in Chicago. He looks to be an old mature brother that is settled. Victor will soon become a First Gentleman. This us the first time I have been afforded the opportunity to use that term for a heterosexual couple.
Love must be in the air in the City of Chicago for people in ministry. Bishop Larry Trotter got married to an Evangelist by the name of Mildred on Christmas Day. Now Kimberly Ray. Obnoxious Media and me, Sir William would like to congratulate the new couple. Hopefully Kim will allow me the opportunity to cover her wedding.
