Obnoxious Politics:  After serving in a prominent role in Donald Trump’s campaign, Cleveland pastor Rev. Darrell Scott now will be involved with Trump’s official transition into the White House.

Transition officials late Tuesday announced Scott, senior pastor and co-founder of the New Spirit Revival Center in Cleveland Heights, will serve on the transition team’s executive committee.
A news release doesn’t describe what Scott’s new role entails. Obnoxious Media has left a message for Scott at his church and on his cell. But the executive committee is composed of a variety of Trump insiders, including Reince Priebus, the Republican National Committee chairman and Trump’s incoming chief-of-staff; Steven Mnuchin, a banker whom Trump reportedly has tapped as his treasury secretary; Trump’s children, Ivanka, Eric, and Donald Jr.; Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner; and Steve Bannon, the former Brietbart News executive who will serve as Trump’s senior adviser.
During the campaign, Scott was CEO of the National Diversity Coalition for Trump, and served as an official Trump campaign surrogate. He also served as a speaker during the July Republican National Convention in Cleveland, hosted Trump and others for a September campaign event at his church and served as a liaison between Trump and other black pastors.
