Ruth Mason Lewis the last surviving offspring of Bishop Mason laid to rest on Dec 8, 2015.  The Church Of God In Christ National Homegoing Service was held at Pentecostal Temple COGIC.

Bishop John Drew Sheard, General Board Member  was our service presided over the service.  He shared personal sentiments of “Aunt Ruthie” as he affectionately called her.

Shelby County Mayor,  The Honorable Mark Luttrell had remarks.

Mayor of the City of Memphis, The Honorable AC Wharton, made great remarks.

R. Tomas Harris, Pentecostal Temple COGIC Minister of Music directs the choir as Faye Garrett leads us in the song In my new home.


Bishop Charles Harrasion Mason Patterson, nephew and pastor of Aunt Ruth, represented the family with expressions.

The children of Aunt Ruth, Robert and Ruth Lewis; Sharon and Robert III had expressions.

Carla Tolbert Taylor lead an electrifying selection “Oh How Precious.”

Chief Apostle and Presiding Bishop of the Church Of God In Christ Bishop Charles Edward Blake, Sr. delivered the Eulogy from Psalm 23.
