Drug Dealers And Killers Strike Again……Naomi Campbell, the famous English model, actress, wanna be singer, and sometimes author, who is equally famous for her violent outbursts, was convicted by a Sicilian court last week for a 2009 attack against a photographer.  Looks like we might not see her next season on Empire due to her trading in her fabulous wardrobe for a prison uniform.

The renowned world model, who has been convicted for assault three times previously, was sentenced to a six-month suspended prison sentence on Friday. Previous convictions included throwing a cell phone at her personal assistant in 2000 and her housekeeper in 2007, and spitting at and kicking two police officers in London Heathrow Airport.
The ruling refers to an incident in 2009 when Campbell was taking a vacation with her former beau Vladimir Doronin. She allegedly swung her handbag at photographer Gaetano Di Giovanni, who annoyed her, as he was taking snaps of the couple as they strolled through the Sicilian streets of Lipari.
Giovanni claimed that Campbell’s attack while she was with her Russian billionaire boyfriend resulted in his eye being scratched. It allegedly took him three days to heal after seeking medical attention and he consequently brought charges against the 45-year-old supermodel.
The Daily Mirror reports that although Campbell reached an agreement with Giovanni and he withdrew the charges, the prosecutor, Francesco Massara, ordered the trial to go ahead because he believed the charges to be serious. Massara reportedly said because of the serious nature of the charges against Campbell, it was in the best interests of the public to pursue the case against her.
“I had just started taking some shots of her and I did not expect such a violent reaction,” Giovanni said in 2013, when Campbell was ordered to stand trial, according to the Daily Mail.
“I’m never gonna get away from it,” Campbell previously told Elle magazine about the incident when she threw a cell phone at her personal assistant. “It’s part of my history. I was remorseful and regretful. I’ve served. I did that time. And I never want to be in that position again.”
The Telegraph reports that Campbell is not likely to see the inside of a Sicilian prison and will probably just have to complete community service or anger management courses to complete her sentence. That is, if she can manage to behave herself for the next six months.
However, it appears that even though she has pleaded guilty on several previous occasions of violent reactions to incidents, Campbell is not going to just lie down and accept the decision of the Sicilian court.
“We are appealing the ruling surrounding the 2009 incident,” said Campbell’s attorney Guido Carlo Allerva, according to People Magazine. “Due to the ongoing legal process, we cannot discuss the matter further at this time.”
